About SayVIT

Q: What is SayVIT?
SayVIT is a UK-based online marketplace that sells surplus food goods at
discounted prices. We work directly with suppliers to save surplus stock from going to
waste, helping you save money while reducing food waste.
Q: How do you keep prices so low?
We source products that are surplus, seasonal, or close to their best-before date but
still perfectly safe and delicious. This lets us offer groceries at a fraction of
supermarket prices.
Ordering & Products
Q: Do I choose what I buy, or is it a surprise?
** SayVIT lets you pick one of 3 options that you want. You’ll see clear product
descriptions, weights, and prices before adding items to your basket.
Q: Are the groceries fresh and safe to eat?
Yes. All products meet strict UK food safety standards. Items may be near their
best-before date or come in short supply packaging, but they are always safe,
high-quality, and ready to enjoy.
Q: Is the food close to expiry?

Some products, except food, are clearly labeled with shelf life and storage
instructions. Many fresh items have several days (or more) of life left when delivered.
Delivery & Shipping
Q: Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver across selected areas of Leeds. Enter your postcode at
checkout to confirm availability.
Q: How much does delivery cost?
A flat delivery fee applies (shown at checkout).
Q: How do you keep groceries fresh during delivery?
We use insulated packaging and, where needed, chilled transport to maintain a
proper cold chain for meat, dairy, and other perishable goods.
Refunds & Returns

Q: What if something arrives damaged or spoiled?
If you’re not happy with your order, simply contact our customer service within 24
hours. We’ll arrange a refund or replacement, depending on the issue.
Q: Can I return unwanted items?
Due to the nature of perishable goods, we can’t accept standard returns. However,
we always stand behind product quality—if something isn’t right, we’ll make it right.
Sustainability & Food Waste
Q: How does SayVIT reduce food waste?
By rescuing surplus groceries that would otherwise go unsold, we help cut down on
unnecessary waste. Every order helps reduce CO2 emissions and supports a more
sustainable food system.
Q: Is SayVIT only about food waste, or is it also about saving money?
Both! You get access to affordable fresh food delivery in the UK, and together we
prevent perfectly good food from ending up in landfills.

Account & Payments

Q: Do I need an account to shop?
No. You can browse freely and add items in the cart but you'll need to fill in your details to complete checkout.
This helps us track your orders and provide better service.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major debit/credit cards, as well as popular secure payment services (see
checkout for current options).

delivery service, including zones, timing, costs, and how we keep your food

Where do we deliver?

We currently deliver to selected areas across Leeds.

Delivery costs & minimum order

○ FREE delivery for Students in their first week with Sayvit
○ Standard delivery fee applies for orders(shown at checkout).
○ No hidden charges, what you see is what you pay

Delivery times

○ Deliveries are made Monday to Sunday
○ Standard delivery window: 6pm – 11pm
○ You’ll receive a tracking link or SMS on the day of delivery
○ We aim to deliver within the day of your order or the day you Pre-order.

How we keep your food fresh
We know you’re trusting us with perishable groceries like fruit, vegetables, meat, and
dairy. That’s why we follow strict cold chain delivery practices:
○ Chilled packaging and insulated boxes keep produce at the right
temperature
○ Frozen gel packs or dry ice for meat and dairy where needed
○ Fast turnaround from warehouse to doorstep

Missed deliveries

If you’re not home, your courier may:
○ Leave your order in a safe place
